  • Ruth King, who was a member of the Austin, Texas NAPM affiliate, was instrumental in helping to form the Central Texas satellite in 1979.
  • Original founders: Frank Faillace, Don Hull, Willard St. John, Bill Agee and Judy Jackson (and others).
  • Chapter received its charter in March 1980 under the name of Central Texas Purchasing Management Association.
  • Central Texas Purchasing Managers Association incorporated in December 1984.
  • The dues for 1980 were $40.00 for NAPM National, $5.00 for the Southwest Business Magazine and $5.00 for the local affiliate dues.
